My first beauty product review is about L’occitane
Pure Shea Butter.
First of all, if you have dry, flaky skin on your face like
me, or maybe on your body, (I only use it on my face so I can’t tell you about
using it on your arms and legs.) I would definitely recommend trying this out!
If you are thinking of using this product, I wouldn’t use it
during the day if you’re going out or just before applying makeup because it is
pretty greasy, which you would expect. Personally I like to use it at night
just before I go to bed and throughout the day when I’m staying at home not
doing a lot. (In other words when I have lazy pyjama days, which are nearly every
day lately, hehe.)
Another great thing about this skin care product is that it
is 100% pure Shea butter enriched with vitamin E and 100% natural so there are
no other ingredients or harsh chemicals in it that could irritate the skin. Woo!
The texture of it is quite thick and hard to apply, so warm
it in between your fingers first. Just a helpful tip that I thought I would add
in. J
The one thing about it that can put you off buying it is the
price. From the official L’occitane website/shop it is £28.00 for 150ml, which
is the big one. But if you’re not entirely sure whether you’ll like it or if it
will work on your skin, they do a travel size version which is £8.50 for 10ml. It’s
still pretty expensive for the travel size one, but if you’re unsure I would recommend
buying that one first as if you don’t like it you have only spent £8.50 instead
of £28.00 on something that doesn’t work for your skin. If it works, it is
worth the money!
On the back of the tin it says – This irreplaceable beauty
balm helps to nourish, protect, soften and regenerate dry, dehydrated or
sensitive skin. Enriched with antioxidant vitamin E. And that isn’t a lie, it
really does do all of those things, so there is nothing about the product that
would stop me recommending it to my friends, family and everyone reading this. I
recommend this to anyone who is struggling the find a product that helps their dry
skin.
